SLATINA is an early diploid variety characterized by rapid spring growth (8.5), rapid growth after mowing (8-8.5) and better resistance to lodging than the control varieties. This variety was bred in central Europe and has marked aptitudes of resistance to winter cold and adaptability to the Mediterranean climate. The plant is very leafy with high vegetative development. It adapts very well in fresh and humid environments in association with perennial grasses providing the forage with excellent protein content and high digestible fiber.
