To protect

Based on many years of experience in the field of seeds in different soil and climatic conditions all over the world, POLOSEED felt the need to respond to the current requests of the entire agri-food chain for sustainable production through “Zero Residue” crop protection products.
The Joint Venture with GEENEA responds to these challenges with its wide portfolio of excellent products for the nutrition and biological crops protection of plants, which can be used, thanks to the incredible results in the field, both in Organic Farming and in Conventional Agriculture.

GEENEA HAS THE WIDEST RANGE OF MICROORGANISMS FOR AGRICULTURE ON THE MARKET. There are bacteria such as Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus subtilis, Poenibacillus polymyxa, Bacillus psychrodurans, which produce enzymes that are active against a large number of fungal pathogens, such as subtilisins, surfactins, iturins. The lactic acid bacteria of Geenea, such as Lactobacillus acidophilus Bifidobacterium animalis sub. Lactis, have the ability to colonize the root and leaf surfaces of the plant by lowering the PH, thus inactivating the lytic enzymes of fungal pathogens. The consequence is the non-penetration of the pathogen into the leaf. Bacillus sphaericus Bacillus thuringensis bacteria act by producing enzymes that make the plant unappetizing to dipteran and lepidopteran larvae.

The Bradyrhizobium japonicum Sinorhizobium meliloti bacteria are nitrogen-fixing agents (respectively of soybeans and legumes and alfalfa) which through the fixation of atmospheric nitrogen allow high production increases without having to resort to chemical fertilizers thus reducing the carbon footprint. As fungi, Geenea has developed products with Metarhizium anisopliae, Paecilomyces lilacinus, Paecilomyces fumosoroseus (Isaria), saprophytic fungi, having the ability to feed on the chitin of the exoskeleton of a large number of pathogenic insects of crops. These act by developing in the soil and leaf surfaces thus creating a natural barrier to insects. Coniothyrium terricola is a saprophytic fungus of other fungi that allows the reclamation of soils with wintering forms (Aschi) and of live fungi. This fungi is the best alternative to chemical fumigations.Coniothyrium terricola is a saprophytic fungus of other fungi that allows the reclamation of soils with wintering forms (Aschi) and of live fungi.
